Hello my Student!
I'm glad to get back once again on our virtual classroom and to welcome new students each year. The theme for this week will be:
"Global Communication"
Write a short essay including 130-150 words.
Communication is always in search of people relations, looking for and and sharing it with each other. It penetrates all our activities: leisure time, job, education, and our social environments. Communication is simultaneous the symbol of freedom, democracy, emancipation.
How much is it important in our everyday life?
How has it evolved through years, ages?

I'll surely make one of my "famous"(XL)essays!!!*kidding*...Anyway Im joining this one,but I got a question(as always):
ReplyDeleteso we have to post it here?Or in our page??O.o
I'm going to post it here at first and then to my blog page....About the topic,I think is a well chosen one which makes us learn many things about the society we live in:
ReplyDeleteGlobal communication is the process of transmitting and receiving information on a world-wide scale. People have been doing it over centuries. The main reason is to get related to the outside world and people in it. This continuing process is transforming our society day after day. The way people work, think and deal with different situations is not the same any more.
However, the evolution of global communication can be linked closely to the evolution of technology. Global markets now offer the ability to produce cheaper products, access to consumers in foreign countries, new sources of finance and income, new sources of technology and access to a world of people with know-how. (Stevens, Miller & Michalski, 2000). One example of this is the internet which has altered the world drastically in the last ten years. Never has social interaction with people around the world been as easy as it is at present. Not only can a person automatically send an email to any area in the world, but they can send simultaneous copies to a variety of locations or post a message able to be retrieved by anyone with access. This and other media products are part of our everyday life by helping us to be part of everything that is happening over there!
Hi teacher..hi everybody!Well I just finished my essay..hope u like it..this is one of my ''short'' essays :P.I firsty published it to my blog but to make sure I'm going to publish it here too.
ReplyDeleteGlobal Communication ^_^
Throughout the years there have been different ways that humans communicate with each other whether it be from talking, body language, or sign language. But how does this communication affect us as human beings? Finding out how people communicate with each other is a key factor in our lives and we need to be able to understand how we can communicate better with ourselves and each other especially when it comes to communicating with people with cultures unlike ours.
Humans have been communicating for years with themselves and others but only in the last century has anyone started to actually look at the ways we communicate. “In its most simple form human communication is how two or more individuals send and receive messages”.
Well when I firstly read the topic of the essay I said to myself:’’I had a lot of things to write about this topic cause nowadays communication has become part of us.’’I began to find some information about communication in years bur I’ll try to be brief.
Since the beginning of time, people have always been looking for means of communication, but a way to communicate in a fast and easy way. In earlier times, Egyptians carved on rocks, leaving records for the next civilization. The Incans of South America knotted several colored pieces of string in a specific pattern and had a messenger run to the next village to deliver it. Many wrote messages on paper to be delivered by a messenger and some simply sent a messenger to deliver the message orally. Of course, there were many problems with these means of communication. If one just sent a messenger, it was easy for the messenger to lose communication in the traveling process, or one could misplace a written message. And of course these messages relied heavily on the swiftness of the messenger, especially in long distances. Clearly, the need for fast and easy communication was getting higher what with different civilizations being more and more spread out. The answer to this demand first came with the invention of the telegraph, then the telephone, and eventually the cellular phone, but now with the power of the internet, and super fast data transfer rates people can communicate across the globe and only pay local rates. · In essence the local phone companies almost promote this. - When you log on to the internet chances are that you are logging on through a local internet provider. You will use your computer modem to dial up and create and data link with your net provider.
To sum up: In this day and age we as a global community are growing at a super fast rate. Communication is a vital tool which aids us in breaking the distance barrier. It can't be seperated from us.Well we owe people's wish for knowledge cause that big wish was the reason that exists this special connection between humans and global communication.
Global communication
ReplyDeleteWorld wide communication means the way we communicate with each other all the time all around the world. It envoles the phones internet ,mailing and so and so ways of communication that we use to keep in touch with our friends and relatives all around the world in a big distance even some meters far away.
But have you ever minded to live some thousand years ago?? In that time a relative who had mived in a big distance of you was equal to “dead “ because it was impossible to communicate with him and possible to don’t see him for the other time of your life.In that time people didn’t know even the oldest ways of communication like mailing.
But around the 15th century the human community in England started using a new way of communication , the mailing. Using mailing people could communicate whith each other and keep in touch also in distance. In the most European towns they begun to build post offices which made possible the mailing of people.
After 200-300 years a person named Samuel Morse invented a more comfortable and fast way to communication,it was the telegraph. By the telegraph people could now send mails to the relatives in distance in a shorter time than the mailing.Morse started his project building the world wide net of telegraph which made possible the telegraphs technology.
Some time later the same net became also the phones net . Phones became so popoular because of they lower price and the reason that they could be kept in the home. Also now you could listen the others voice and not just read what he wrote you.
And a one or two decades before now this net begun to get more and more developed being the world wide net or the internet as we know it.
Of course in now days eavh of us can have all of the technologies above and this is the why global communication is in it’s highest grade.
Now I’m leaving because I have to send an e-mail to my cousin in U.S.A. thank you for reading Ksandros Apostoli
I see you have done an excellent job, my students. All you have to do is just posting, at your own page or even here, but surely I would like you write in English and make progress as well.
ReplyDeleteWish you success!
